Must be computer literate. Must be able to function well under Supervising Therapist and follow all department policies and procedures, as well as possess the ability to interact appropriately with patients/residents, their families, and other staff members.
Certification:
Must have valid CPR certification.
Must have a completed physical examination from a licensed physician within the last year.
Must have a negative TB skin test within the past year OR a clear Chest X-ray within the past five years.
Education:
Some College experience or equivalent experience (Volunteer or employment) in the healthcare field. Familiarity with basic human sciences, psychology, and medical terminology is preferred, as well as a strong interest in working with persons with physical/psychological disabilities.
Experience:
Entry-level to Experienced. The Department will provide further training to expand the Technician’s basic skills to enable them to better meet the patient’s needs.
Physical Requirements:
A. Ability to bend, reach, or assist to transfer up to 50-100 lbs.
B. Ability to stand and/or walk 80% of an 8 hr. shift.
C. Visual and hearing acuity to perform job-related functions. |
